The Department of Urology at Bharati Vidyapeeth Hospital, Sangli provides advanced diagnostic and surgical care for kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, and other genitourinary disorders in men, women, and children. The unit is fully equipped to perform endoscopic, laparoscopic, laser, and reconstructive surgeries, along with specialized services such as urodynamic testing, ESWL, and upcoming renal transplant facilities—making it a comprehensive center for urological care under one roof.
Overview
Established in 2015, the Department of Urology at Bharati Vidyapeeth Hospital, Sangli has evolved into a high-volume tertiary referral centre for comprehensive urological care. Catering to patients across all age groups from paediatric to geriatric the department offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including complex endoscopic procedures and advanced minimally invasive surgeries.
Located on the first floor of the Super Specialty Building, the Department of Urology features a 30-bedded dedicated ward, well-equipped OPD suites, and day-care procedure facilities. A full-time team of urologists, surgical residents, and skilled technicians provide services six days a week. Along with general urology, the department also runs specialized clinics in female urology, uro-oncology, and andrology.
